Makarand is a senior supply chain management professional with various leadership role experience in his career spanning over three decades. He is the co-founder and principal consultant for operations excellence practice area at Masflair. In his last assignment, he was the Senior Vice President, Fragrance Operations & Business Solutions with Keva , largest Indian Fragrance, Flavour and Ingredient company.
Makarand has vast experience in supply chain management, heading multiple manufacturing operations sites, material planning , business analytics, ERP implementation and leading continuous improvement projects . He has hands on experience in fermentation and vaccine manufacturing. He has lead SAP implementation covering several rollouts in India, Indonesia and Europe.
He has also managed Information technology function. Makarand’s experience spans industries like pharmaceutical formulations and API, fermentation, chemicals, fragrance and flavours.
He has worked earlier in various supply chain and operations leadership roles in Hoechst Pharmaceuticals (Now Sanofi Aventis), Merind Ltd, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Sandoz and Givaudan.
Makarand has done his Masters in Microbiology from Pune University and is a certified coaching professional by ICF.
